My First 12 Month's Figures 📈
For the first time, I am sharing with you the numbers that I did in my first 12 months running Merch Wizard 🧙♂️
This is not to show off, but to give you inspiration as to what is possible for an everyday 9-5 software developer to achieve 🚀
Looking at the figures now, I got a little greedy with the lifetime income 🙈
.... but the users asked for it, and that huge spike in month 3 was for a Black Friday sale 💰
However, each lifetime sale meant that there was a decent chance that a monthly subscriber would be cancelling their subscription 🤔
It also meant supporting these users for the rest of the app's lifetime without collecting another dollar from them. Additionally, when it came to exiting, these lifetime users were considered "user baggage" for the new owner to have to support, which reduced the valuation a little bit 🛄
Still, I was more than happy with year one of the business and don't forget, all the time I was building a cashflowing digital asset that I could eventually sell and exit from 💸
